The Head of Product will own the product roadmap and lead the development of The Portal, Fleet’s flagship IoT hub. This key role will see you leading a team of software and electronics engineers and driving product strategy forward by delivering key UI features, hardware and software robustness and critical ongoing updates for new and existing product deployed in the field.


Details

 RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You would have the desire to drive several products from inception to roll out in order to create customer value and deliver measurable business benefits

  • You will work with Fleet’s leadership to ensure product development fits the broader goals of the company, supporting the go-to-market strategy

  • In-depth knowledge of Edge/IoT devices, LoRaWAN and LPWAN in general

  • Hardware and software engineering background

  • Monitor and set prices on products in product line

  • Own and drive down BOM costs to meet revenue and profitability goals.

  • Work well under pressure and be able to prioritize to meet deadlines and quickly shift priorities as necessary.

  • Ability to multitask, work independently and demonstrate keen attention to detail.

  • Positive team player attitude is mandatory.

  • Proven ability to hire and develop teams.

  • Prepare, maintain, and evangelize the product roadmap which defines product enhancements for short and long-term releases.

  • Develop long term plans for the success of the product line.

  • Hands on software (ability to code)

  • Consistently demonstrate a passion for Fleet’s core values and mission statement.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in embedded software

  • Demonstrated successful leadership of full product lifecycle

PREFERRED

  • 10 years experience in product development

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills

  • Experience working within a start-up company environment strongly preferred

Additional Requirements

  • Must be available to work extended hours and weekends as needed
